It’s no secret, I love me some newborn snuggles and photographing these brand new little ones is my jam! I love seeing families grow and first time parents coo and aww over their little baby all wrapped up in a prop or perfectly posed to show off all those delicious baby rolls. Getting to capture these images, knowing how much joy they will bring in the future really makes my heart so happy. The newborn phase comes and goes so quickly and having three children of my own, I know how important these memories are to have.!
So when should I book my newborn session?
Ideally, you should book in the later part of your second trimester. While we always try to accommodate last minute clients whose baby’s have already been born, booking in advance allows us to customize your photo session. You rest easy knowing you can breeze through the remainder of the pregnancy and your booking is on our calendar. (Also, did you know, we even offer newborn session registry’s so clients family and friends can contribute towards this very special photo session!!)
What is needed to reserve your spot?
We offer a few different package options for Newborn Sessions and for some of those clients interested in both Maternity and Newborn (ask about our Bump to Baby Packages). You do not have to select your package until we set a final date on the calendar once the baby is born. All that is needed to book your spot on my calendar in advance is a $200 deposit and signed portrait contract.
Can the parents and siblings be included in the pictures?
While the focus of the newborn session is capturing all the tininess of your sweet baby, we encourage parent’s and siblings to take part in the session. Seeing a big brother or sister snuggling up to their little sibling will make your heart melt!
How many images are included in a full gallery?
For those who do not purchase the package containing the entire gallery of images, you are able to select your final pictures from a proofing gallery. A typical full gallery has about 40 images to choose from and you always have the ability to purchase more images or upgrade to the full gallery.
What if I want prints, an album or wall art?
All of our packages include some sort of tangible print product(s). Our philosophy is your images shouldn’t sit on your hard drive or on your phone. They should be enjoyed every day! Imagine getting cozy on the couch and looking through your beautifully designed custom album filled with gorgeous images from when your baby was so tiny. Clients also love to fill their walls or even the baby’s nursery with several wall art pieces. We love creating mock-ups and showing clients how they can display their images that will have your family and guests in awe anytime they see them hanging on the walls.
